I'm a San Francisco-based entrepreneur, author, blogger, traveler, and most of all, learner. I love learning and I try many things with the hope of growing personally and professionally.

On the entrepreneurship side, I've started several ventures, from selling gumballs and pens as a kid to founding an e-government software company (Comcate) that currently delivers hosted CRM solutions to hundreds of local governments in America.

I also focus on writing. In 2007 I wrote a book called My Start-Up Life. I've written more than a million words on my blog about current affairs, books, entrepreneurship, careers, and technology. I've written on a range of topics for NPR's "Marketplace," the American Enterprise Institute, Newsweek, and the U.S. State Department.

Finally, I have substantial experience traveling and living in the developed and developing world. I maintain active networks in several countries outside the U.S. and follow closely international relations and issues of globalization.

This is a temporary web page. A new personal web site will launch in the fall, 2011.

In the meantime, you can email me at [email protected] to say hello, inquire about my speaking, or ask any questions.
